Bird protection nets are physical barriers for birds from reaching certain areas and are made up of materials like high-density polyethylene, polyamide, polyester, etc. They are available in many types of shapes of mesh-like triangle, square, rectangular, etc. Based on the requirement, the thread's diameter varies, which in turn determines the strength of the nets against the bird. The nets are UV resistant also to protect the crops from solar rays. Mostly the nets are used to protect the material or property from the birds, which might damage them. Though bird protection nets are used to protect our crops from getting damaged or to avoid the birds' dropping in our property, they do physically harm the birds, which sometimes leads to their death. Sometimes the threading of the nets is so thin that and sharp that the birds are not able to see them, and they collide with it getting hurt or entangled in those nets, which is not a very good sight. Even animal activists urge people to avoid putting the nets on their properties and crops so that the birds don't get hurt. Still, they cannot provide an alternative solution that is competitive and effective as the nets. Bird protection nets are not only being used to cover the crops but are also being used to cover the residential and commercial buildings so that the birds are not able to reach certain places where they can build their nests.
